The GYC TeamThe Glasgow Youth Council is formed of a dedicated team of young people who are aged 12-25 and either live, work, study or volunteer within the Glasgow City Council boundaries. All young people who fit into that category can volunteer and become a Youth Councillor.
We are lead by a team of seven members who are elected at our AGM - the Executive Committee. They are responsible for everything from setting the priorities of the organisation to organising meetings, and from campaigning on issues that matter to the young people of Glasgow to creating opportunities for our members. The Executive Committee are supported by a team of Deputies and Officers, who are nominated by the Executive Committee and then confirmed in a vote of the full membership. The number of deputies and officers can vary depending on the priorities and workloads of the Executive Committee and the wider organisation. |
